This is the most popular bearing type to be found in a wide range of operating conditions. Generally it requires little attention in maintenance & service. This bearing is designed primarily for radial load, but due to its design and features it is capable of carrying equal amount of thrust load in either direction and is capable of operating at high speed too. This Bearing consists of inner and outer rings with deep symmetrical ball race, ways, separator and a compliment of balls. They are available as open bearings (known as plain bearings/ without seal bearings) or with rubber seals (RS/2RS) or metal shields (Z/2Z).
Double Row deep grove ball bearings embodies the same design principle as that of the single row deep groove ball bearings. This bearing has a lower axial displacement than what occurs in the single row deep groove ball bearings. They are also capable of carrying high radial loads too.
Needle bearings compromises of special form of cylindrical roller bearings in which the rollers are of a very small diameter and comparatively long and therefore they have the advantage of a very small difference between the bore and outside diameter. These bearings are detachable and suitable for carrying only radial loads. Various designs of needle roller bearings are available depending upon the design of the bearings assembly. Needle roller bearings may be used either without a inner race or outer race or even without any races merely using a set of needle rollers. In all these cases the shaft or the housing should be strictly of the same qualities as of the bearings races. Needle roller bearings found applicable where space is retricted and mostly where the units are oscillating.
This type of bearing is characterized by its high axial load carrying capacity. It can also absorb considerable radial loads because the direction of contact is inclined to the axis of the shaft. The track of the housing washer spherical, and the rollig bodies are barrel shaped. This makes the bearing self aligning and therefore insensitive to misalignment. The bearings are separable and mounting is simple as the components can be mounted individually
Taper roller bearings consist of two main units. A cup and a cone. The cup is on the outer race whereas the cone consists of the inner race, the separator and a compliment of taper rollers. The taper rollers are guided by the high load on the inner race. The taper roller bearings are manufactured with interchangeable cups, and the cone on the shaft separately. These bearings are capable of carrying both the radial and axial loads and permit fine adjustment for end play. Greater care is required to ensure the maintenance of proper alignment of the bearings and maintenance of proper axial clearance is essential to avoid bearings failure. Due to further development in the design of the taper roller bearings, they are also available with two rows and four rows.

Angular Contact Ball Bearings are single row ball bearing but designed in such a way that the central line of the contact between balls & race ways is at an angle. This angle is called a contact angle. And, as per the manufacturer's design , these angles vary between 15 degree, 25 degree & 45 degree. These bearings are capable of carrying higher axial loads than the corresponding deep groove ball bearings, but in one direction only. These Bearings are eminently suitable where thrust loads are encountered at high speed. Usually, these bearings are mounted in pairs & adjusted axially against each other so that they may support a combination of heavy radial & thrust loads.
This unit consist of a bearing with a pillow block. The bearing is self coloured and has a grip which cannot lossen and its spherical outer race provides self alingnment in any direction. The Pillow Block has an oil hole on the top for re-lubrication & a bolt hole at the base to fix standard bolt. The complete unit can be attached with machinery frames on a straight shaft with a slip fit. The pre-lubricated bearing with the felt seals enable the unit to be installed even under dusty conditions. It comes in UCP, UCF, UCT, UCF types.
